REPORT OF THE ASSEMBLY OF BISHOPS

From Wednesday 12 to Friday, January 14, 2011, the bishops of Guinea (Conakry Archbishop Vincent Coulibaly, Archbishop Emmanuel Felemou Kankan) and Mali (Bamako ZERBO Bishop Jean Bishop Jean Gabriel Diarra San Bishop Jean Baptiste TIAMA Sikasso, Mopti FONGHORO Bishop George Bishop Augustin Traore Segou and Kayes Bishop Joseph DAO) held their 27th Plenary Assembly at the Grand Séminaire Saint-Augustin Samaya which they are responsible. Bishop Raphael Bala Guilavogui N'zérékoré was prevented.
During these few days, our fathers, bishops have reflected reports from the year-end (2009-2010) and the first semester of this academic year (2010-2011), on the spiritual, intellectual, human-Community economic and work life that punctuate this camp initiation to the priestly life. At the family meeting with all the bishops, Archbishop Vincent Coulibaly we did the attendees and urged us with a solid training seminar given the demands of our time. Here are some points:
 Presentation New Year's greetings: Our Fathers wish that the year is full of success and living in holiness.
 Congratulations and encouragement for the best results in the spheres of intellectual, spiritual, community and productive. This momentum is growing as a virtue for pastoral ministry. To increase productivity and improve agro-pastoral home, a Development Committee was established. Each community member is a pillar.
 After considering the reports of students, everyone is challenged to care for his life and to cultivate interpersonal brotherly love and discipline in spirituality. This in order to meet the many challenges found in teams of priests and Christian communities.
 The formation of future priests is part of the country adults. It should therefore be formed to "men standing" that self-support, "who take their stretcher and walk." The Church and Christians must remain at all levels "salt and light, stand and starter recovery of every man and every man of Africa.
 Given the many attacks against the Church and its pastors today it is most essential and urgent to keep jealously celibacy and chastity. These are great values that should be wanting to the Church, but to all humanity. The unfortunate case of infidelity and scandal raised by it and thus should not make us quit or lose these values. We are called to holiness and we are not left us alone. Christ and the Holy Spirit walk with us. Such is the vocation of every baptized!
In sum, the bishops are counting on the seminarians, future pastors. They form the new blood and fresh through the veins of the Church-Family-of-God in Africa. Raphael
